Antibiotics and Jake

Today we are on Day #5 of Jacob's 10 day course of Amoxicillin. Our silly little boy decided to get double ear infections which caused the need for the Amoxicillin. This is the first time that Jacob has been sick at all. Seven and a half months without being sick is pretty good. Jacob had been pulling on his left week for about a week but since that can also be a sign of teething and his two top teeth are in the process of working there way in we just dismissed the ear pulling to teething since there was no fever associated with it. On Thursday night last week Jacob spiked a temperature out of no where and it topped out at 101.5 as far as we know. Friday morning we visited the Naval Hospital here in Pensacola to get Jake checked out. He was found to have double ear infections much to our shock! Our little boy is such a trooper. Even today he is laughing, smiling and playing despite the fact that he was up a lot last night with a cough and some sneezes.
